At Ecomondo a giant for granulation
At Ecomondo trade fair from 4 to 7 November in Rimini, CMG Granulators is exhibiting the new EV 92-220 granulator, which according to the manufacturer is the largest and most powerful ever introduced in the sector. Designed for heavy-duty applications and massive volume flows, the EV 92-220 features cutting chamber architecture and integration with advanced controls conceived for greater reliability under extreme operating loads. With production capacity superior to any machine on the market, the new granulator is proposed as the ideal solution for large-scale plastic recycling plants aiming for effectiveness and efficiency.
The new model is part of the Evolution series, a line of next-generation granulation systems designed specifically for post-consumer plastic treatment with direct attention to energy efficiency, performance and innovation. At the foundation of this development lies the design philosophy of offering maximum productivity with minimum environmental impact. Each model in the Evolution series is optimised to reduce energy usage by up to 50% compared to traditional granulators, thanks to advanced cutting geometries, rotor design and intelligent drive systems, engineering which according to the manufacturer guarantees maximum energy efficiency and the lowest total cost of ownership (TCO) in the category.
Ease of maintenance is one of the characteristics of the Evolution series, whose machines, thanks to quick and simplified access to main mechanical components, automatic lubrication systems and predictive diagnostic functionality, minimise downtime and make operating procedures easy and simple to implement. With production capacities from hundreds of kilograms to several tonnes per hour, this series proves versatile with both rigid and flexible post-consumer plastics. The exclusive cutting chamber ensures clean regrind of uniform dimensions, without dust or microparticles.
With the Evolution series, CMG Granulators takes a leap forward in sustainable plastic material treatment, thanks to the combination of cutting-edge engineering with operational simplicity and high performance parameters. "The launch of the EV 92-220 marks not only a technological milestone, but also a statement of intent, a commitment to transforming waste into value," declared Giorgio Santella, CEO of CMG Granulators.
