At Colines, a fully equipped 9-layer Polycast line for customer trials

Colines is making available a highly versatile test-line, a Polycast 9-layer cast film extrusion line for customer trials at its headquarters in Nibbia (Novara, Italy), starting from mid-September. Featuring a 2500 mm net width and a full-optional configuration, the line has been designed to offer outstanding flexibility across a wide range of applications, allowing the production of CPP, CPE and barrier films (both symmetric and asymmetric structures).

The installation can also be equipped with Mastermind, Colines' AI-based virtual production assistant, enabling customers to experience the benefits of artificial intelligence applied to cast film extrusion, including improved process stability, faster start-ups and enhanced production consistency.

The line incorporates a comprehensive range of premium technologies, including continuous gravimetric dosing units by Doteco for maximum dosing accuracy, a variable-geometry feedblock, and the latest-generation Cloeren Reflex die, ensuring exceptional flexibility and film quality.

Its advanced thermoregulation system, combined with a three-cylinder chill-roll configuration specifically engineered to optimize the annealing process, minimizes post-winding shrinkage while delivering reels immediately ready for converting.

Additional features include dual-side corona treatment, two separate edge-trim refeeding hoppers for uninterrupted production, the versatile Flexiwind II automatic winder with multiple-cut system, and high flexibility in term of net width.
