Italian Deputy Minister Vannia Gava visits RES
RES (Recupero Etico Sostenibile), on the occasion of presenting its main strategic projects, received an institutional visit from Italian Deputy Minister for the Environment and Energy Security Vannia Gava (second from left in the photograph) accompanied by MP Aldo Patriciello (first from left in the photograph). This was an important moment of constructive dialogue between institutions and business on central themes for the future of sustainable waste management, resource recovery, ecological transition and the development of low environmental impact technologies.
During the meeting, RES management illustrated to the two institutional representatives the ongoing initiatives and planned investments, with particular attention to the new chemical recycling plant for plastics and the main high-tech research and development projects, including the application of muography, a technique based on the use of cosmic rays for non-invasive analysis of internal structures and materials in landfills and sites requiring remediation, to improve the efficiency of resource recovery processes from landfills and environmental monitoring.
"The presence of Deputy Minister Gava is for us an important signal of attention towards an industrial model that combines economic development and environmental responsibility," declared Antonio Valerio (second from right in the photograph), Chief Executive of RES. "The projects presented confirm our concrete commitment to sustainable growth and to strengthening the recovery and recycling supply chain in Italy."
"I was pleased to visit this company, which thanks also to NRRP funds has developed an innovative project for plastic recovery. But above all, I had the opportunity to be updated on other important projects it is working on, which once again confirm how our Italian companies are at the forefront of new technologies and innovation," commented Deputy Minister Vannia Gava.
"Addressing environmental issues from an innovative perspective is a non-deferrable priority imposed upon us by the concept of sustainable development at the heart of the European government agenda," added the Honourable Aldo Patriciello. "RES undoubtedly moves in that direction, representing a cutting-edge flagship in its sector."
Following the visit to the production facilities, the meeting concluded with a commitment to continue institutional dialogue to foster further synergies between the public and private sectors.
