The inauguration of a new production facility for Frigosystem India was held on 3 November in Chennai, India, which consolidates the presence in the Indian subcontinent of Frigosystem, the parent company based in Caronno Pertusella (Varese, Italy) active in the construction of industrial refrigeration and temperature control systems, which has the plastics and rubber sector as one of its main outlet markets.

The new facility follows the opening of Frigosystem India Private Limited in 2024 and provides impetus to the Indian government initiative "Make in India" whilst demonstrating the growing presence of Italian companies investing in the Asian country, strengthening the India-Italy commercial axis. The operation represents a step forward in Frigosystem's long-term local commitment and in its confidence in the potential of the Indian market. With production in Chennai, the latter can be served with reduced delivery times, benefiting from the direct availability of world-class solutions manufactured locally and from improved and more punctual assistance service.

The inaugural ceremony was attended on site by Alessandro Grassi and Miriam Olivi, CEO and General Director of Frigosystem respectively, together with Thangapandi Saravanan, operational and marketing director of Frigosystem India, and the entire subsidiary team. The event was also attended by Nilesh Joshi, business manager of Italian Machinery Desk in India, representative in India for Amaplast and Ucima at the Chamber of Commerce.
