EuPC Launches EuPF

The European Plastics Converters Association (EuPC) announced the creation of a new dedicated sector group, the European Plastic Films (EuPF). This initiative brings together European companies active in the plastic films industry, with the aim of strengthening collaboration, fostering innovation, and advancing sustainable practices within the sector.

At the inaugural meeting held in Brussels, Renato Zelcher, CEO of Crocco and former EuPC President, was unanimously appointed as the first President of EuPF. Renato Zelcher brings years of experience in flexible packaging and a strong track record of leadership within the European plastics industry.

“The formation of EuPF marks a significant step forward in ensuring that plastic films producers and converters have a strong, unified voice at European level,” said Renato Zelcher. “Our goal is to actively contribute to the ongoing policy dialogue, promote circular solutions, and drive technological progress in line with the EU’s Green Deal objectives. We are confident that EuPF will become an influential platform for companies involved in plastic films to shape the future of the sector.”

The founding members of EuPF are Crocco, Trioworld, RKW Group, Armando Alvarez Group and Ergis Group – leading European manufacturers committed to advancing sustainable and responsible practices in the plastic films sector.

The EuPF sector group will focus on key priorities such as:
- representing the interests of plastic film producers in EU legislative discussions;
- supporting the implementation of circular economy measures specific to film applications;
- engaging with policymakers, stakeholders, and the value chain to promote responsible use of flexible plastics.

“We are confident that EuPF will become an influential platform for companies involved in plastic films to shape the future of the sector,” said Federica Gallicchio, EuPC Managing Director.
