MCTech is born: manufacturer of closure solutions and moulds for caps

MCTech, an acronym for Moulds & Closures Technology, is the new industrial entity created to design and develop closure solutions and high-performance moulds for caps to meet the needs of the beverage, food, cosmetics and pharmaceutical sectors, all characterised by high technical and regulatory complexity. Based in Paese (Treviso, Italy), MCTech emerges from the experience and know-how of Acqua Minerale San Benedetto, led by Enrico Zoppas, who also assumes the presidency. The company leverages a wealth of technological and industrial expertise built up over more than 70 years of experience in the beverage sector, previously reserved for the San Benedetto Group – know-how that is now being made available to other highly specialised sectors, maintaining the same rigorous approach to design, quality and process control.

MCTech represents a challenge both for its reference territory and for innovation. The project starts from San Benedetto's facility dedicated to cap production and employs approximately one hundred people. In the medium to long term, it aims to find its place in a highly competitive sector such as closures and high-performance moulding systems. The company designs and develops bespoke closure solutions and moulds for caps, following each project through to final application, to ensure full consistency between design, production process and end use. A business model that enables every requirement to be transformed into a concrete solution, supporting clients with a complete service that includes specialised technical consultancy, bespoke design, engineering and production of new closure systems, mould prototyping and validation, together with logistics and shipping management.

MCTech is based on a fully integrated production chain that covers all process phases, from research and design to engineering, from prototyping to closure and mould production, through to internal certification, logistics and shipping. A comprehensive approach without recourse to external suppliers, centralising expertise and operations whilst reducing time, costs and operational complexity. Quality represents a central pillar of MCTech's business model from the outset. Every project undergoes rigorous controls and validation testing in the internal PTCC-Packaging Technology Corporate Center laboratory, to ensure high standards of performance, safety and compliance with sector regulations. Equally important, innovation is an integral part of the company's activities and develops on three key levels: product innovation, with high-performance technical solutions designed to tackle the most complex requirements; cost innovation, through optimisation of production processes to guarantee competitiveness and economic sustainability without compromising quality; technological innovation, thanks to the integration of cutting-edge technologies that increase efficiency, precision and sustainability at every stage of the process.

"MCTech is born with the ambition to give shape to innovative solutions, making available to the market a complete, flexible and highly specialised industrial model," declared Enrico Zoppas, chairman of Acqua Minerale San Benedetto and MCTech. "Investing in technology means investing in the future of industry: innovation is not just an opportunity, but a responsibility. With MCTech, we want to transform ideas and expertise into concrete, reliable and competitive solutions, capable of meeting the needs of the most demanding markets, in Italy and abroad."
