At K 2025 CMG launches the EV 92-220, a giant for granulation
“In line with the official motto of K 2025 – “The Power of Plastics: Green – Smart – Responsible” – CMG Granulators reaffirms its leading role in the recycling sector through its commitment to developing sustainable, intelligent, and responsible solutions, with technologies designed to turn plastic waste into a valuable resource”, said Giorgio Santella, CEO of CMG Granulators, regarding the company’s participation in the upcoming German trade fair taking place in Düsseldorf from 8 to 15 October.
At K 2025, CMG will showcase its latest technological solutions under the slogan: “From Waste to Reuse. CMG turns waste into renewable materials”. These include granulators, shredders, advanced evacuation and dedusting systems – all developed to ensure high cleanliness, consistent quality, and repeatable performance. Recovery and recycling processes have been refined so that each stage optimises the transformation of even the most difficult or highly contaminated plastics into reusable materials in an efficient and sustainable manner.
The EV Evolution series – CMG’s next-generation granulation systems – is specifically designed for the treatment of post-consumer plastic, with a strong focus on energy efficiency, performance, and innovation. Based on CMG’s design philosophy of delivering maximum productivity with minimal environmental impact, each model in the series is engineered to reduce energy consumption by up to 50% compared to traditional granulators. This is made possible by advanced cutting geometries, a unique rotor design, and intelligent drive systems – design features that ensure top-tier energy efficiency and one of the lowest total cost of ownership (TCO) in the category.
These granulators are also known for their ease of maintenance. With simplified and rapid access to key mechanical components, automated lubrication systems, and predictive diagnostic features, downtime is kept to a minimum and operational procedures are straightforward and user-friendly. Offering production capacities ranging from hundreds of kilograms to several tonnes per hour, the machines are equipped with CMG’s proprietary cutting chamber design, which delivers clean, dimensionally uniform regrind, free from dust or microparticles.
Making its world premiere at K 2025 will be the EV 92-220, one of the largest and most powerful granulators ever introduced to the market. Engineered for heavy-duty applications and high-volume throughput, the EV 92-220 features an innovative cutting chamber architecture and integration with advanced control systems, ensuring greater reliability under extreme operating conditions. Thanks to its high production capacity, it is the ideal solution for large-scale recycling facilities. “The launch of the EV 92-220 is not just a technological milestone, but a declaration of intent – a commitment to turning waste into value”, concluded Giorgio Santella.
