Bausano at K 2025 with a new identity and digital extrusion
At K 2025, Bausano presents itself with a new brand identity and an offering in which digital technologies and artificial intelligence applied to extrusion process control play a leading role. "On the eve of eighty years of company activity, Bausano returns to K with a new look that reflects its vocation for scientific rigour and technological excellence," stated CEO Clemente Bausano. "The new visual identity doesn't just involve the brand's aesthetics: it's the concrete and consistent expression of Bausano's strategic vision, which aims to unite precision engineering and advanced digital technologies to effectively respond to the challenges of modern industry. This rebranding reflects the image of what Bausano is today: a solid reality, projected towards the future and capable of anticipating sector needs."
At the heart of the new positioning lies the concept "Extrusion Instinct", a synthesis of Bausano's distinctive approach that combines vertical specialisation, results culture and the ability to innovate naturally and continuously. The new logo, consisting of two intertwined arrows forming the letter "B", visually embodies the company's dynamism and its commitment towards a more intelligent, connected and sustainable industrial model.
The German fair also sees the debut of Bausano Sphera, the digital ecosystem that marks the advent of a new production paradigm under the banner of real-time control. The three native modules that comprise it are designed to transform every piece of data into value, anticipating end users' operational needs. For the first time, thanks to the Bausano Sphera software application suite, artificial intelligence is integrated on-board machines, innovating the control logic of extrusion plants. Through an intuitive interface, it's now possible to monitor dynamic KPIs and the plant's OEE index, receive personalised operational suggestions and intervene to maximise line performance, thanks to predictive diagnostic functionalities. The Bausano Sphera suite represents the new frontier of real-time control: a set of advanced and versatile tools designed to support process managers in making rapid, informed decisions oriented towards maximum efficiency, also with a view to superior process sustainability.
Visitors will be able to interact directly with the Bausano Ranger interface based on artificial intelligence. This is one of the suite's modules, on board two high-performance extruders: a counter-rotating twin-screw MD 130/25 for producing compounds and a single-screw E-GO 60/37 for manufacturing multi-layer HDPE pipes. Concrete expressions of the company's technological know-how, both application demos integrate solutions designed to improve output quality and reduce energy consumption.
Among the notable features of the MD 130/25 twin-screw extruder are the patented induction heating, the Multidrive system, combined feeding with gravimetric doser and volumetric transport system, synonymous with greater efficiency in PVC gelification, and PVD treatment applied to the pelletising head, which ensures high abrasion resistance and consistent pellet quality even with prolonged production times, optimising cutting performance. The E-GO single-screw extruder, meanwhile, is equipped with a custom screw with high-dispersion mixer and Maddock element, developed internally by Bausano to guarantee high melt homogeneity even at low melting temperatures, benefiting contained energy impact. Finally, the line is distinguished by its compact design with servo-assisted axial ventilation, designed to reduce footprint and facilitate integration on existing plants.
