Two days in Mumbai dedicated to films and flexible packaging
The 12th edition of the ElitePlus Speciality Films & Flexible Packaging Global Summit & Exhibition took place in Mumbai (India) on 3–4 September, an international event dedicated to films and flexible packaging for packaging and speciality applications. The summit attracted over 2,200 participants representing 800 companies from 26 countries and more than 100 exhibitors, including Italian firms Bandera, Colines, Macchi, Rossini and Uteco. The initiative was also supported by the Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals of the Government of India, underlining the strategic importance of this sector for the global industry.
The summit brought together 85 international leaders, featured in 10 business sessions and 7 panel discussions focusing on key issues such as sector growth, new market opportunities, sustainability and circularity, as well as the convergence between rigid and flexible packaging. Wide attention was given to the challenges and prospects facing industry: from the geopolitical implications for the global economy to the new packaging requirements of emerging FMCG, food and pharmaceutical companies. Contributions also came from brand owners, start-ups backed by Shark Tank, and experts addressing digital packaging, next-generation materials, automation, EPR regulations and recycling innovations.
The exhibition area showcased the latest developments through live demonstrations, automation solutions and cutting-edge applications. The event was further characterised by the strong presence of brand owners, recycling companies, converters, raw material suppliers, policymakers, automation specialists and sustainability innovators.
