Jindal Films Europe ramps up production at Brindisi
Jindal Films Europe (JFE) is investing in its Italian operations and will commission a new 10-metre oriented-film line at its Brindisi plant in 2026. The state-of-the-art line – currently under construction at Brückner – marks a significant step forward in capacity, technology and sustainability. It will position Brindisi as a key hub supplying JFE customers across Europe, the Americas and Asia, strengthening the site’s role within the company’s global manufacturing network.
Scheduled to come on stream in the second half of 2026, the new oriented-film line will lift Brindisi’s annual output, making it one of Europe’s largest plastic film production sites. The hybrid line is engineered to process both polypropylene and polyethylene, enabling a broad portfolio of speciality films, including BOPE Ethy-Lyte, label films for flexible packaging, and IML (in-mould labelling) grades.
Brindisi forms part of JFE’s integrated production network and continues to build on its technical expertise while reinforcing its commitment to quality and sustainability. In addition to the new oriented-film line, the site is equipped with advanced metallisation and coating technologies capable of processing the latest BOPE and BOPP grades and applying innovative coatings on substrates as thin as 12 microns.
