A satisfying two days for Maicopresse
Over 500 visitors attended the two-day open house event held by Maicopresse on January 16 and 17 at its Borgosatollo site (near Brescia, Italy). “The level of participation in the event was even greater than expected: indeed, in addition to seeing our historical customers, we met many potential new clients; it was hugely satisfying to receive so many positive comments about our product and, above all, our way of working, which is based on relationships of trust and on uncompromising quality; furthermore, considering that this was, for Maicopresse, the first experience of this kind, it was very reassuring to see all our employees getting involved in all the preparations leading up to the event and to note the general climate of enthusiasm that developed, which provides confirmation of what we already believe, namely, that it is still possible to build an efficient business based on quality and on genuine human relations,” remarked CEO, Fabio Busi.
From a technical point of view, all the specialised operators present at the event were attracted by the display of high-technology machines (such as the hybrid and energy-efficient electric presses) and by the large, high-efficiency injection molding machine with a clamping force of 4000 tons, designed to produce containers with a capacity of more than 1000 litres. Another aspect that was highlighted in particular was the generational continuity at the helm of the company, which is still owned and run by the family - now the fourth generation - of the two founders: Mario Spotti and Mario Busi (the latter died tragically just a year ago).
Another, more peripheral, theme of the event was the importance of maintaining and enhancing the local production chain, which, when it is called upon to express its potential, is still able to offer excellent quality, reliability and competitiveness. To illustrate this point, numerous subcomponents in forged steel were on display, all products of Brescia’s proud metallurgical tradition. This was, therefore, an example of the vitality of our country, for once recognised and valued by the broader public.
