Remote controlled refrigerators

Starting in September 2014, all Frigosystem high energy saving lines that use the refrigerant R410 - Raca Plus Energy, Kite and Heating & Cooling (HC) - will be equipped with a new microprocessor smart control system that will allow them to be connected to a network and remotely controlled both by the manufacturer, as part of its remote support service, and by the final user.
"We're not just providing an optional interface, but making a major effort to develop a standard system," commented Frigosystem managing director, Alessandro Grassi. "For the moment, however, it is the client who decides whether or not to use this type of service. It is something that's absolutely new in refrigeration and we are lined up to be the first to provide it as a standard service.
"This means that the electronics of the refrigerators are already set up to operate with the remote support service so that the user has the option of deciding later to take advantage of it. Simply by plugging in a network cable the external technician will have a view of the entire line. This innovation raised a lot of interest when it was unveiled at K in Düsseldorf, and since April 2014 it has already become a standard feature on refrigerators in the HC series.
