Forty candles and a new machine in memory of Mario Busi
On January 16 and 17, an open house will be held at Maicopresse’s facility in Borgosatollo, near Brescia (Italy), introducing the new MB 4000 injection moulding machine. The new machine, designed to produce large-size containers, features a clamping force of 4000 tons; the letters MB in its name are intended as a tribute to Mario Busi, co-founder, together with Mario Spotti, of the company, who died in a car accident in January 2014.
The show will celebrate the 40th year of activity of the Brescia-based company, which has been manufacturing injection moulding and die casting machines since 1975, and will commemorate its founder, to whom the new machine is dedicated. This is the largest machine ever built by Maicopresse and, besides the high clamping force, it also offers several distinctive features: one-piece steel platens; patented long-stroke toggle joint with inverted opening; crosshead with load-bearing function; proportional control system, ensuring maximum energy efficiency without penalising productivity.
