Cemas Elettra rides the wave of renewal at K 2025

At K 2025 in Düsseldorf, Cemas Elettra – a company based in Carmagnola (Turin) specialising in the design and manufacture of machines and equipment for plastic welding – will showcase a thoroughly renewed technology portfolio, the result of targeted investments in research and development, digitalisation, and training.

Among the new products presented at the trade fair is a hot plate welding machine for the production of plastic pallets and crates – a classic in the company's range – now offered as a fully standardised model, designed to maximise reliability and ergonomics in the production cycle. Another highlight is a vibration welding machine, now available in more powerful and more sustainable versions, which stands out for significantly reduced noise emissions and shorter cycle times; in particular, the machines used for the production of washing machine drums can achieve record-breaking movement speeds.

In the field of infrared technology, new materials have been introduced for welding equipment, offering improved thermal resistance and final product quality. Furthermore, new fully customisable and controllable modular architectures have been developed. Hybrid solutions further enhance weld quality and process speed by combining the benefits of multiple technologies.

As for laser technology – a constant focus of the company’s R&D activities – in addition to the multi-fibre laser, one of the most powerful simultaneous laser solutions currently available on the market and designed for high-productivity, complex applications, the Galvo system enables welding on the move along translating lines, opening up new possibilities in production. Applications requiring InfraStake and NanoStake welding are also on the rise, due to their flexibility and compliance with hi-tech production standards.

Lastly, tailor-made ultrasonic/ultrasonic cutting-welding machines have been redesigned: these are fully electric machines equipped with sonotrodes capable of precise trimming, replacing traditional punching tools.

With over forty years of experience, Cemas Elettra is undergoing a profound phase of renewal. The company combines its long-standing know-how with investments in technical training and collaboration with schools and universities, forming a solid foundation for dynamism and innovation. Thanks to its international presence, Cemas Elettra today manufactures its machines not only in Italy, but also directly in Brazil, Mexico, China, Turkey, and Germany, following a flexible model that promotes know-how sharing across its multinational teams.

In recent years, the Process Development Centre – the company’s R&D department – has been significantly strengthened and now works in synergy with the software development team and design office, delivering customised solutions tailored to complex application requirements. In addition, with a 24/7 technical support service, the company is now embracing servitisation, data monitoring, and comprehensive after-sales support. The newly developed Human-Machine Interface (HMI) of the operator panel reflects this approach, featuring an intuitive and design-oriented interface. Particular attention is also given to refurbishment: many of Cemas Elettra’s machines that have been running for over twenty years on three-shift cycles can be upgraded to meet new production demands, contributing to both the economic and environmental sustainability of users.
