SML to exhibit running extrusion line at Plast Milan 2026
For the first time, Austrian machine manufacturer SML will showcase a fully operational stretch film line at PLAST 2026, one of Europe’s premier plastics trade fairs, held in Milan from 9 to 12 June. With a significantly enlarged floor space area, SML will be well positioned to present a state-of-the-art extrusion line in an appealing setting and to underscore the strategic importance of the Italian and southern European market.
“We see great potential in southern Europe market and therefore PLAST 2026 offers an excellent platform to showcase our extrusion machinery,” says Karl Stöger, CEO of SML.
As the only premium supplier, SML offers stretch film lines covering all standard film widths from 1,5 to 6 m. For a wide range of different products, layer numbers at SML’s stretch film lines reach from 3 to 67. The lines are fitted with the latest extrusion systems, specific chill rolls with sizable diameters, and highly advanced inline winders.
Moreover, as sustainability is a core focus, SML continuously refines its extrusion lines and processes to further enhance the quality of its stretch film products and their recyclability and to reduce environmental impact.
Customers and trade fair visitors to the stand will be able to witness daily live demonstration runs, experiencing first‑hand the quality and efficiency of SML’s extrusion technology.
