TEPPFA appoints Martina Conton as a new Director General

TEPPFA, the European Plastic Pipes and Fittings Association, announces the appointment of Martina Conton (pictured) as its new Director General. She will take up her role on 1 July 2026 succeeding current General Manager Ludo Debever. Martina Conton brings extensive experience from both European industry associations and the corporate sector, with a strong background in sustainability, industrial policy and highly regulated industries linked to the chemical and energy sectors.

“We are delighted that Martina Conton will join TEPPFA,” said Rolf Mellink, TEPPFA President. “Her strategic mindset, leadership qualities and EU advocacy experience will be a valuable asset for the Association and its members to strengthen TEPPFA’s contribution to Europe’s sustainability, infrastructure and resilience objectives.”

“I am honoured to take on the role of Director General at TEPPFA at such an important moment for the European industry. In recent years, TEPPFA has increasingly positioned itself at the heart of Europe’s sustainability and water resilience agendas, reflecting a broader mission to champion the critical role of plastic pipe systems in enabling a climate-resilient Europe. I look forward to working closely with members and partners to further strengthen the sector’s contribution”, Martina Conton added.

Prior to his retirement, current General Manager Ludo Debever will stay on as transition manager until the end of October, supporting Martina Conton and helping ensure a smooth handover. The TEPPFA Executive Committee and its members expressed their thanks to Ludo Debever for his professionalism, leadership and long-standing contribution, as well as for his commitment to the plastic pipe industry throughout Europe.
