EPPA announced the official appointment of Christian Fischer, Chief Sustainability Officer at Schüco, as its new President. Having previously served as Vice-President, Fischer brings with him extensive experience and a strong commitment to sustainability and circular innovation in the building products sector. Andreas Hartleif , CEO of Veka Group, has been elected Vice-President.

Looking ahead to EPPA’s evolving role, Fischer stated: “From advocacy to action – EPPA is ready to shape the future, not wait for it. With a united membership and strong national branches, we will drive impactful progress where it matters most.”

His appointment marks a new chapter in EPPA’s development, building on recent efforts to enhance its coordination across national markets. Over the past year, important groundwork has been laid to strengthen the association’s presence in Germany, France, and Poland – supporting the alignment of national-level activities with a shared European vision.

At the same time, EPPA has taken meaningful steps toward reinforcing its engagement in EU level advocacy, with the goal of becoming a more visible and trusted partner in shaping regulatory discussions that impact the window profile and broader building products sector. Better coordination between national branches, a clearer strategic direction, and a more active role in policy consultation have all contributed to EPPA’s growing presence in Brussels.

EPPA sincerely thanked outgoing President Götz Schmiedeknecht, Co-CEO of Salamander Industrie-Produkte, for his dedicated leadership during the 2024/2025 term. His tenure saw the association take key steps forward in reinforcing national branch activity, unifying EPPA’s voice across member countries, and deepening engagement on sustainability and stakeholder priorities. These efforts have laid a strong foundation for the association’s continued development and its ambition to play a more active, constructive role at the European level.
