Guadalajara showcases innovations for sustainable plastics industry

Today, innovation is not only a driver of growth but also an imperative for sustainability and environmental responsibility. In this context, Expo Plásticos 2026 will open its doors from 24 to 26 March in Guadalajara (Mexico) as a major commercial forum for the sector, presenting an edition that promises to be a turning point in its history. For three days, Expo Guadalajara will be the epicentre of cutting-edge technologies and solutions, attracting over 14,000 visitors from across the plastics supply chain in a space designed for high-value networking and commercial agreements, featuring over a thousand brands active in plastic applications production worldwide.

The eighteenth edition of the Mexican trade fair will emphasise how technological innovation is fundamental for the transition towards a circular and sustainable economy. The exhibition and technical conference programme will focus on solutions to address the sector's environmental challenges. Expo Plásticos 2026 will reaffirm itself as a privileged showcase for the latest developments in machinery and processing technologies. Across an exhibition area of 21,000 square metres, over 650 tonnes of operating equipment will be displayed, designed to improve productivity, optimise processes and maximise company profitability.

Among the starring innovations will be high-efficiency injection and blow moulding, thanks to machines that not only offer faster and more precise production cycles but also incorporate servo-electric systems for significantly reduced energy consumption, a critical factor in cutting operational costs and environmental impact. Equally important will be intelligent extrusion, with lines equipped with sensors and machine learning algorithms that allow self-correction of parameters to maintain consistent quality, even during processing of recycled materials or complex compounds. Last but not least, automation and Industry 4.0 will be at the centre of attention with complete solutions, from collaborative robotics to MES for total plant interconnection, facilitating data-driven decision-making in real time.

Beyond machinery exhibition, Expo Plásticos 2026 represents the commercial platform where manufacturing companies can make direct contact with complete solution suppliers, positioning itself as an essential event for procurement, technological updates and information on industry trends.
