The revamping on injection machines is increasingly important

The “Revamping Day” held at the Gefran headquarters in Provaglio d'Iseo (near Brescia, Italy) was dedicated to the revamping of injection moulding machines for thermoplastics. The initiative, which took place at the beginning of October, had a positive response from industry experts and system integrators from all over Italy.

With ongoing cuts to investment in new machinery by end users, existing equipment needs to be maintained and updated, with a particular focus on optimising the presses’ energy consumption.  Gefran is able to partner OEMs and system Integrators in choosing dedicated, ready-to-use hardware and software solutions, offering turnkey systems and continuous training on the products and solutions provided.

Some Gefran products are designed to undergo rapid revamping; this is the case with GCube Performa, a powerful, ready-to-use and open automation platform. Its flexibility makes GCube Performa the ideal control, visualisation, I/O management and communication solution, all functions integrated into a single product. GCube Performa is ready to use immediately, having been pre-configured and tested, to guarantee that it can be put into service quickly. Over the “Revamping Day”, Gefran also presented its vast range of touch-screen operator panels, software solutions, sensors to measure the column deformation in injection presses and drives available in sizes from 0.75 to 355 kW.

The service that Gefran offers to those responsible for revamping also concerns the supply of training on development tools and specific templates, updates and support in putting the machine into service. Thanks to its know-how and specific, highly-integrated product lines (automation, sensors and motion control), Gefran could make targeted proposals to offer those present the appropriate tools to operate on the market and seize new business opportunities.
