IMG: satisfaction and cautious optimism ahead of hyperamortisation 2026
IMG, a company based in Capriano del Colle (Brescia, Italy) that manufactures presses for elastomer and silicone moulding, expresses satisfaction and optimism for the "New Hyperamortisation" which will come into force from 2026, intended to replace the current tax credits for 4.0 capital goods and for the 5.0 transition. A significant development in the field of subsidised finance for companies making investments in new capital goods. The Brescia-based company's hope is that the new measure will be more streamlined than 5.0, which will end at the end of December 2025 and which, all things considered, has proved complex in compliance processes, so much so as to undermine adoption in many cases, whilst 4.0 had been different, having had great success and injecting new life into the market. The 5.0 incentive ends in December 2025.
"We remain waiting to understand how the market will evolve in light of this development," declared managing director Barbara Ulcelli. "One thing is certain: the automotive crisis continues, leaving prospects uncertain and causing possible investments to be postponed. The hope is that the legislative process for this new measure will be concluded and hyperamortisation will start as soon as possible to support the market." Meanwhile, IMG has structured itself to respond to every type of scenario: "When we sell a press, we provide consultancy on every aspect of incentives, so that the customer doesn't have to have any concerns," added export manager Andrea Merlini. "In any case, we understand that with this new hyperamortisation, bureaucracy should be considerably reduced. Moreover, we're noticing that the market is increasingly requesting turnkey solutions from us."
For this reason, IMG is implementing robotised solutions capable of satisfying the increasingly frequent demand for automated production cycles, with the consequent reduction in fixed costs, minimising the operator's presence on the most repetitive tasks. Thanks to collaborations with Italian and international partners, IMG offers turnkey solutions: no longer just the press element, but also the other components of the production cycle such as the mould, possibly thermoregulated, robot for automatic removal of parts from the press (with the possibility of artificial vision to detect the presence of waste) and conveyor belt.
The adoption of robotised solutions brings with it various innovations, such as the "Wilson" chatbot for training and technical assistance purposes. A technological innovation introduced by IMG in a process of integrating AI with its presses. Although still under development, the multilingual chatbot created in collaboration with 4.0Factory will be used to provide instant responses and solutions relating to the correct operation of the press or any problems encountered by operators. A virtual assistant available 24 hours a day to support customers. Wilson, presented at the K 2025 trade fair, is added to Prime, IMG's additional paid management software.
IMG looks to 2026 continuing to invest in international markets as well, which continue to be covered by participating in all the main sector trade fairs: its presence is already confirmed at Plast (Milan, 9-12 June 2026) where the company will be present with a 120 square metre stand in the area dedicated to the "Rubber" world, where two presses will be displayed with daily moulding demonstrations.
