Comerio Ercole, the Busto Arsizio (Varese)-based manufacturer of machinery and plants for plastics and rubber processing, was one of the key players in the 13th edition of the Impresa Ambiente Award, a major national recognition dedicated to sustainable innovation promoted by the Venice Rovigo Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with Unioncamere and under the patronage of the Italian Ministry for the Environment and the Protection of Land and Sea.
The company from the province of Varese won the award for best process/technology for sustainable development thanks to Logos, an innovative system that makes it possible to transform production scrap and end-of-life tyres into new high-performance material, significantly reducing environmental impact. The award highlights the area’s ability to produce industrial excellence capable of combining tradition and innovation, competitiveness and sustainability.
“This recognition honours a company that is part of the industrial history of the Varese area and that continues to look ahead with vision and responsibility. Comerio Ercole shows how innovation and sustainability can be translated into tangible value for the manufacturing system and for the environment. It is a source of pride for our entire area,” emphasised Mauro Vitiello, President of the Varese Chamber of Commerce.
