K 2025 kicks off

The 2025 edition of the world's leading trade fair for the plastics and rubber industry, K in Düsseldorf, opens its doors today, 8 October, and will close on 15 October. The trade fair event on the banks of the Rhine is awaited, as every three years, with great expectations, and the next eight days will once again offer an unparalleled international stage globally for all operators to present their innovations and strategies and take the pulse of the reference industry's performance.

More than 3,000 exhibitors from 66 Countries will animate the Messe Düsseldorf trade fair district from today with the motto "The Power Of Plastics! Green – Smart – Responsible", which, as always, will serve as a unique hub for meeting partners, suppliers and customers and weaving business activities and networking. Thousands of products and live demonstrations will enable companies of all sizes and from all latitudes to present the state of the art of their activity and allow visitors to experience first-hand the innovations along the entire supply chain from materials to applications, passing through the technological developments that represent the common thread. All protagonists to enable the challenges of the market to be addressed.

And the motto chosen for this year fully reflects the sign of the times, in which every type of industry is called upon to commit towards sustainability, the circular economy and digitalisation, understood as opportunities for development and wellbeing. To promote and support this commitment involving all operators at the fair, a series of side events to explore key themes: Plastics shape the future; VDMA Forum; Science Campus. All oriented towards a change of perspective and reaffirm that plastics are not the problem but the solution of our time.
