All PET roads lead to Rome

Petcore Europe’s Annual Conference 2026 is taking place in Rome next month from 5-6 February, under the theme “The PET value chain vs. full circularity.” Now in its 22nd edition, the conference is a key feature in the PET industry calendar gathering players from right across the PET value chain – from producers and converters through to brands, retailers and recyclers. Its Italian location – a departure from the usual Brussels base - provides an ideal chance to showcase national case studies and hear from industry players, policymakers and customers on the ground. The 2026 conference is organised in partnership with ICIS (Independent Commodity Intelligence Services), a global provider of data and market analysis who will make a number of presentations and share global data and insights on trends.

The need to restore the competitiveness of the European PET industry will feature as a central theme during the two-day event, with a line-up of compelling speakers from across the value chain drilling down into the detail of some of the challenges and opportunities facing the sector. Developments at EU level will form an important part of the discussions with experts looking to unpack and explain what industry players can expect on the regulatory horizon. The speaker line-up will also include representatives from a range of institutions, including European bodies. For the third year running the event will also feature an Innovation Session dedicated to showcasing innovative projects from both members and non-members. The initiative aims to highlight pioneering solutions accelerating the implementation of PET circularity across the value chain.
