Promixon was founded on 26 June 2013: the completion of its first year of business offered its founder and general manager, Marco Marinello, the opportunity to produce an initial balance sheet and make plans for the upcoming months. Marinello's more than twenty years of experience in designing, constructing, testing and marketing machines for mixing plastics and powder finishes has given Promixon the capability to fully analyse the needs and issues of its client converters.
One of its first objectives was the development of advanced mixing technologies that enhance converter productivity, making them accessible to all in order to increase efficiency and competitiveness. The market response in this first year of activity exceeded expectations, demanding upscaling of initial plans: the engineering and production departments were put into operation immediately and now employ a staff of twenty-five persons. The entire production cycle, from design and assembly to testing and installation, takes place in Italy, ensuring the quality, creativity and innovation represented by the Made-in-Italy trademark.
Large investments have been made in product development, bringing significant internal and external innovations to mixing and cooling systems that are tailor made to suit the needs of the specific users. The provision of these custom systems provides Promixon with a decisive competitive edge. This strategy has won the new company a major order from the United States, where Promixon will be developing the largest individual mixing plant in the flooring sector. It will be coupled with a calender from another Italian supplier and with a German-made feed system and extruder. This marks another major conquest after the markets of the Middle East, China and Russia.
During its first year in business, Promixon also took part in the most important trade fairs, such as K, Chinaplas and Interplastica, and is currently registered for a number of upcoming events, including Fakuma, Plast Imagen, Arabplast and Plast 2015. The upcoming months will witness new international projects, new company departments and the hiring of additional employees. Also introduced will be an innovative system for identifying and ordering replacement parts online based on custom developed software to eliminate machine down time; a test room where operators can test systems; and a commercial specialist to manage activities on foreign markets.
